Personal Project
Meeting Meat
My Degree project looks at the link between animals and the meat we recognise as our food. Exploring how we view the animals that some of us are prepared to eat in a collection of images entitle ‘Meeting Meat’. I have taken a stand with enlarged images of different commonly recognised meaty cooked meals into the animals living environment and recorded the animals response. This has proved to be a risky plan as working with animals is always unpredictable. Contending with weather conditions, mud and dangerous species in order to prove that Photoshop has not been the creator of the finial images, I will display video evidence of all the locations. As a vegetarian and animal lover this is a subject that is close to my heart.
This collection was displayed at the Xpose Exhibition
held @ Free Range gallery, Brick Lane, London
12 June 2008 - 16 June 2008
Books are now avalible @ £22 each.
please email me to order a copy.
